 15 ft snowdrifts. 

These weren't exactly snowdrifts but after weeks of the plows going by the snow would tend to pile that high and we'd build forts inside them. I have a ton of happy snow memories.

You're lucky they didn't collapse on you.   A couple of years ago,  2 kids in town died, because they tunneled through a snow pile,  and it caved in on them.
