Not so much now but i had it bad in my twenties, even now i think i was in love with Marilu Henner in Taxi, and Shelley Long in Cheers. Marilus hair was a big thing for me, for some reason, they had a vibe that transfixed me. With Long it was a her openess and vulnerabilty, when her heart broke, so did mine. And yet in real life she was a snooty, primped up asshole.
Yet more reason to love her, and being snooty is a vulnerability. Physically she was perfect, and that smile.
Henner was just gorgeous, struggling, prickly, assertive, a goddess. I had a thing for Meryl Streep, and that polak accent in Sophies choice, Gladys Pugh in hi de hi, theres a theme in there, damsels in distress, with me coming to the rescue. Watch out Mirah.
