Yes, let's talk about the overcrowded prisons in England in the 1800's. I mean, most of those criminals were given life sentences, for petty crimes, and most of those petty crimes are no longer relevant due to changes in the laws. England shipped their 'criminals ' off to Ireland, Canada, The 'new America ', and Australia. In other words, instead of fixing the reason why these people resorted to petty crimes, the English government decided that mere humans should be dumped off into harsh new territories.
