In more local news a truck carrying bee hives overturned. 250 million bees to bee exact. This happened in Lynden WA. (Whatcom County) Local beekeepers were on the scene ready to rescue any swarms and to help put the hives in transport back together. Some bees will recover and return to the old hives or create new ones but there will be a great loss from this.
The shipping of bees is a normal operation to aid in crop growth such as strawberries and raspberries.
The road was closed and expected to reopen after 24 to 48 hours. Emergency management cautioned people to avoid the area.
I have not read anywhere about the cause of the truck overturning or the condition of the driver. (videos are pretty cool. If I find a good one I'll try to post it) I meant to post a cow video but haven't yet.
