Did you know what it is in your state before seeing this map? I did not, I thought all states would be 18.
Many states have a Romeo & Juliet law. I did not know that either. It can be used as an actual legal defense when the participants are close in age and are minors. In California any sexual activity with someone under 18 can be considered statutory rape while in Texas a 15 year old and an 18 can engage in sex without it being considered a child sex crime.
