Complaining about family is a luxury

Good point. To a degree anyway.

It's only a luxury if the family acts like family should act, not just the fact because they're alive.

Some people have no family. To them, a family of assholes is better than what they have. I have a friend who's entire family died in a house fire on Xmas while he was at work. Whenever I feel like bitching about family he immediately comes to mind.

Unfortunately, some people have a family of living assholes. Who treat each other as if the other was dead, and thereby have no interaction with each other what so ever, so it is tantamount to them being dead.
