Me, I think we all need to pull together and walk away from the social media platforms that are promoting the insanity and polarization. But boy is that a longshot!

social media is here to stay; conservatives need to embrace the left's playbook and do what they do back in their face.

I am a conservative social media warrior; I belong to 10 different platforms - liberal and conservative. mt days now are spent posting the truth to the folks in this counrty who have abdicated their responsibility to be taken care of by governmebr. that is not how this system works.

This 3,000 page behemoth also contains references to all the court cases that ruled on aspects of the constitution, to explain to us dummies what the document really means. This is one of the main ways the federal government has usurped the enumerated powers left to the states: judicial fiat.

Convention of States Project was formed to “Build an engaged army of self-governing grassroots activists”, for the express purpose of educating people on their inalienable Constitutional right to restrain government through the Article V amending convention process.

Our aspirational goals are as follows:
Help people organize and restore representative government as defined in our written Constitution.
Restore a culture of self-governance in America.
Inspire a political and spiritual awakening in America.

Our mission will never end; we are painfully aware, as our founders were, that human nature will creep back in to the federal government over time if we fail to educate each successive generation about the principles this great nation was founded upon:
All power emanates from the people.
Individual freedom.
Equal justice.

This project is not about who is in the White House, who controls congress nor which party’s message resonates the loudest, frankly, we don’t care. Our concern is to hold ALL of the corrupt DC decision makers accountable until the natural checks and balances that limit government are restored.

We fully understand the magnitude of the daunting task we have chosen, and we use stories published by various sources to demonstrate the message we are touting. We express no editorial opinion on the story, good or bad, only that it shows the pressing need for our mission to succeed.

Another prime example: one in five Americans can not name one of the three branches of government.

Our founders were brilliant men, and they knew this day would come. They gave us the solution as big as the problem. We are never going to root out the “shadow” government from inside the beltway; it must be done by the state legislators. Article V: Convention of States is the solution. It is safe and secure way to restrain the elites, and we don’t need their permission.

Don't get distracted by the minutiae; here is my response to all who will listen:

Trump did some good things while in office, but he did some stupid things as well. But I said back in 2016 he would not make any real change in DC. That swamp is set structural concrete with titanium mesh; a nuclear warhead would only chip some paint. 

DC elites will never voluntarily give up power; there are far too many lobbyists, staffers and bureaucrats that are permanent fixtures in the decision making process. They don’t care who gets elected; they will just wait til that person is gone, or they will destroy them if they become effective..

I said it would take some one with deep personal conviction to principal to affect change, and Trump ain’t that guy. I thought Cruz might be, but now we will never know.

The US Constitution, as ratified by the states, created the federal government, enumerated the functions under its control and provided a grant of limited power for the federal government to perform those enumerated functions. The grant of limited power and the check and balance structure contained in US Constitution assured Americans that there would be no abuse of power by the federal government. Without that assurance, the US Constitution would not have been ratified. As a people, Americans have allowed the federal government to exceed its grant of limited power and to use this newly acquired power to abuse the rights of all Americans. Our last line of defense to stop this abuse is our states.

Every state legislator takes this oath, “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, obey and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this Commonwealth (or State) and that I will discharge the duties of my office with fidelity”. By taking this oath to defend the Constitution of United States, they are assuming the duty and obligation to defend YOU against the abuse of YOUR rights by the federal government. The Framers gave them the tool to defend you against this abuse of power. In Article V of the US Constitution, the states were given the power to propose amendments to the Constitution at a convention of the states so that there would be a source of power to stop abuses by the federal government. However, they will not use Article V to defend us unless we demand that they do so. ,

Moving forward ignore the distractions and remain focused on the real goal!

DC can not be fixed from inside the beltway; there is only one party there - progressivism. The RINO's agree with the socialists. Trump tried, but even he couldn't turn that ship. No one can. The solution must come from the states - Article V Convention of States. Talk to your state Rep. and Senator; if they resist elect some one else with the conviction to uphold the Constitution. This is the only fix that will work barring civil war.

This task won't be easy; it will take all of us working together.

Educate yourself; assume you are being lied to. All our futures depend on the citizens accepting the responsibility the founders bestowed on us to hold our elected representatives accountable.

Our founders fought a violent revolution to gain their freedom from an oppressive central government. They were brilliant men who understood human nature, and they knew we would face the same problem in the future.
