I see tons of things going on and can understand why. My wedding Anniversary is 9/11 a year before the tragedy. It's strange going out and celebrating now, but I do it anyways. I was married a year before and to me it has become a happy time, unlike the sad happenings a year later.
This year I am going to the same Chinese place where I put the Professors ring in a silver dish. And they served it to her during our meal. She always remembers that and I'm happy the place is still there unlike the wedding ceremony place that was torn down a few years later.
The tragedy has never destroyed our mutual love for that day and we refuse to give it any recognition except our vows.
I do however acknowledge the disaster and today it is still a stain on my happiness. But we were marking the day before others did.
