Subtropical Storm Beryl is picking up speed as it headed for the east coast. The storm is expected to hit land sometime tonight. The maximum sustained winds remain at 50 mph.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Volusia and Flagler counties. The warning spans from the Brevard-Volusia County line to Edisto Beach, South Carolina. The storm is expected to turn toward the West late Sunday and be near the coast in the warning area.
In the next 12 hours, Subtropical Storm Beryl will organize further and could take on full tropical characteristics.
