KELSEY BERRETH, CO -- MISSING/PRESUMED DEAD

Guilty Verdict for Patrick Frazee

https://www.denverpost.com/2019/11/18/ke...l-verdict/

It took the jury less than 4 hours to deliberate and find him guilty on all charges; first degree murder, solicitation of murder, and tampering with a corpse.

The sentencing hearing is underway now.  He will very likely get life in prison with no parole, but I'll update the thread when the official sentence is announced.

This was one case where the wheels of justice moved quickly.  In less than a year, LE and Prosecutors managed to tie everything together and present a very compelling case despite having no body, no murder weapon and no physical evidence.

That wouldn't have been possible without their star witness, Krystal Lee McKinney.  She cleaned-up the crime scene and initially lied to investigators.  Shortly thereafter, she came clean and got a plea deal for testifying against Frazee.

McKinney pleaded guilty to tampering and will be sentenced soon -- she faces a max of 3 years.

Krystal Lee Sentence - Case Closed

Patrick Frazee's mistress and after-the-fact accomplice Krystal Lee (Kenney) pleaded guilty last year to tampering with physical evidence  in a deal to help prosecutors convict Frazee of Kelsey's murder and their daughter's kidnapping on Thanksgiving Day 2018.

Lee was the prosecutors' star witness and was critical in securing a Life without Parole sentence for Frazee a few months back.

Considering her cooperation with prosecutors, the judge had the discretion to sentence Lee to probation only.

Instead, today, the judge sentenced her to the max; she got 3 years behind bars + 1 year probation.  https://krdo.com/news/2020/01/28/frazee-...in-prison/

I'm glad she got the max -- it's still a hell of a deal considering that Lee knew months in advance that Frazee was plotting to have Kelsey killed and she said/did nothing to prevent it.

I think she got off easy. She had ample opportunity to keep Kelsey from being murdered and she choose to stand by and do nothing. Man. Three years.
