There is an infestation of chipmunks this year because there was a bumper crop of acorns. They are everywhere now and if you leave your door open they wander into the house. Has anyone ever woke up to one of those critters sitting on the window sill? The cat goes nuts.

They seem to like shiny things,  too.  One of the vendors at a festival I went to last weekend,  kept complaining about a chipmunk stealing wire wrapped jewelry from her table.    She said the little bastard made off with 3 rings.

Maggots Broccoli tip# 9: When cooking broccoli take one piece and stick a fork in it, then put it in a cup full of water, the fork keeps the pc. under water. Then go off and steam the rest or whatever you do to eat it. Then as you are eyeballing the plate go and see if any worms are wiggling on the surface of the cup. I grew that stuff before and noticed it.

I would love nothing more than to wake up to a cute little chipmunk sitting on my windowsill.
