I get along with him and his wife, but he is a grouchy old bastard and tried to run our otherneighbor down with his motorcycle. He says he didn't do it, but I don't believe him. People don't just accuse you of trying to run them down for nothing, the same way the police don't raid your home for nothing.
Anyway, what the hell does that, Sonny Barger, Operation Black Biscuit, or any other fat ass middle aged biker that I don't give two fucks about have to do with the police being granted "free access" to the clubhouse in Sydney?
The cops said they had reasonable suspicion that they are running an illegal bar and criminals are operating out of there. You don't think that is a legitimate reason? They must be doing something because their rivals tried to blow them up.

It would be nice of the police and everyone else could base their opinions of MC's or anyone for that matter on their own actions. Not on the actions of others like them. There maybe some MC members that are criminals but that doesn't make all of them criminals.

To answer a few questions, a search by police down here would usually require a warrant, same as in the US. This push has come from the NSW state government more than anything. They are a monetary fuck up and the health, education and public service sectors have suffered 10+ years of financial mismanagement. The state government is now pushing the NSW police to be seen as having a tough line on crime and show they are in control. Therefore things like this which would have normally had the civil libertarian factions of the government jumping up and down are going through unchecked... That's the scary part

Do you know every biker in the fucking world? The guy is 60 something and my neighbor accused him of trying to run him down. I didn't see it, but the guy pressed charges and said that they only ride their bikes down our street to harass him. I even wrote a letter saying they have a reason to ride down our street because they often drop off and pick up their grandson from my house. I still believe that he didit though.

As Sin said, no one on a motorcycle would actually try to run someone down (unless they had a deathwish). It would wreck them. Yes thats exactly what it was. I never said that I believed the guy was trying to kill him, I wouldn't let my son go over there if I thought that. But I do believe that he swerved his bike towards him as if he wanted to run him down. I wasn't there, but I don't doubt that he did it. Like I said, I even wrote a letter on his behalf. I wouldn't have done that if I thought he was really trying to kill the guy.
