Excited!  Meeting up with a few of the ladies and heading over to the Handlebar-J for some vittles and dancin'!

Yee-Haw!  Western dancing is gonna be happening tonight!

And tomorrow . . . I'm predicting this is how I'll be feeling after Texas Two-Stepping or line dancing to this favorite:

Lemme hear some fiddle and electric steel, boys!

OMG Will there be cowboys in tight jeans and boots? And what will the gals be wearing? I can't wait to hear about your evening! Awesome!

Thanks, girl!  Will let you know about the Cowboys.  I'm not planning to "Save a Horse", tonight!  hah

I'm opting fairly conservative (don't want to look like a cougar on the prowl).  V Neck 34 sleeve peasant top ("washed" Olive color and not a deep V), Ariat mid rise, dark denim jeans, black Justin Roper boots . . . no hat, tonight.

Navajo (vintage) graduated silver bead necklace, turquoise stud earrings, silver Navajo turquoise bracelet and a black belt sporting a petite, silver Navajo bowguard buckle.

Hair . . . back in a pony (as usual).

Save a horse, ride a cowboy was my ringtone back in the day and it once went off while I was at a viewing. I was so horrified I left the funeral home immediately and my friend's widow chased me down and told me he would have loved that happening and she coaxed me back in. I wanted the earth to open wide and swallow me whole.

OMG. I love that story tho. And I love Blue Tiki describing what she is wearing. Awesome! Wooo!

I just made a fire, waiting for it to warm up so I can take a shower, putting some pan brownies in the oven to eat w/ the ice cream I made-which turned out different than it usually does. And then i'll watch something on a streaming service while I post here and post pics. SOUNDS SO EXCITING! LOL.

Last night's update:

Style of dress:  All (the five of us) in jeans and boots.  Me . . . the only one wearing boot cut.  The other gals were showing off their "Dude Ranch" boots with their jean legs tucked inside.

Tops ranged from lace (with a Cami base), ribbed knit, and snap-buttoned yoked Western (all long sleeved).  Seems we all went the conservative route!  hah

Dancing:  More line than partner.  However, "D" and I did dance a few, together.  She took lead on the sixteen step and I took lead on all swing with complicated moves.

Cowboys:  The few that were there were the "All hat, No cattle" types.  Not like the ones we were with, in Vegas. They own and work ranches. They live and breathe the lifestyle . . . as do their wives and kids.  In Vegas, I think I danced more with their teenage kids than I ever danced with, at a high school dance!

But we had a great time.  Lots of laughs, musings, and stories.

We're already planning our next "dance" night out.

Do the irate gyrate, with a funky twist. Then put your right foot out...
