I'm using all my motivation to make it through work. Sorry. I've caught up on my chores and errands so after work you can have any spare motivation I have left and I can melt into a puddle of goo.

I have tons!  If you live in a cold winter climate,  you might want to check your home for drafts.  Oil and propane are going to skyrocket this year.

I have motivation for the stuff I want to do, but not for the stuff I have to do. And unfortunately the stuff I have to do is taking time away from the stuff I want to do.

I'll take some of that chore motivation.
I have been motivated to get stuff done that requires another entity-such as tire place, post office and vehicle tabs. And voting! But cleaning/organizing have been slow.

I mean if you are just talking about not having motivation for 1 day maybe you need to just take the day off or go sit in the park or something like that.
I shirked off stuff yesterday morning to go for a drive w/ my neighbor in the snow. That seemed totally worth it.

Do you write to do lists?
I write mine in bright colors.

Cue the immature remarks. I don't care.

I use to to write to do lists, but they never got finished. I'd just do the easy tasks and shove the hard, unpleasant tasks on to a new to do list.

Motivation increases by doing things, i feel a lot better after doing housework for example.  My partner has had two deep brain tumours removed, and everything is down to me.   The dirtier the place gets, the more depressed i get.    Procratination is seriously bad.  Even doing ten minutes a day is a big thing.     The less you do, the worse it gets.

I agree with this, also I can't stand clutter. If I'm surrounded by messiness then that's how my mind is, I can't think.

Bright, colorful decor fucks with my head too. It creates noise in my mind.

Jesus. How fucked up am I.   78

Now it all makes sense. Two old queens living in a filthy house hoarded with crap. I know a couple like that, they use to work as hairdressers and I must say they were really good at it. Best damn haircut I ever got in my life.
