or give up?
I give up pretty quickly lately.
All I needed to do was drive from O Reily back to where my car is not starting, get the battery out of it and bring it back. It isn't even 10 miles, but there is construction! And I was feeling so lazy and wanted to put it off.
Then I finally did it.
O Reily hasn't called me back so I am sure I am getting a new battery tomorrow.
But I was just thinking about my perseverance lately and I am lacking.

I primarily never give up, regardless of how impossible the situation may seem to be.
(It's a flaw I have)

I have been that way also-and generally am when I am at work and trying to solve a work related issue. But in my personal life not so much. I wonder why you view it as a flaw? Are there particular situations where you feel you should have abandoned or given up? Has it cost you something? If it is too personal of course don't answer, only if you are comfortable.

I try very hard to always persevere and I almost always succeed, but not 100% of the time and those times have been very difficult. I feel I just have to stop, let it go so I can move on. I don't like to give up and even as I type these words I have a voice in my head saying don't you fuckin' dare.

I give up pretty quickly all my life. I was worried about paying my bills after paying almost $2000 for a deductible and a rental car. So I've been home from work the last few days feeling tired, depressed, and not motivated to do anything. Ironically, I don't have time to take these days off and I am off payroll and my next paycheck will be shit and I'll still be tired, depressed, and worried about my finances and ability to pay my bills.

I hate doing things that aren’t fun, but then I eventually have to do it. Sometimes I just give up on getting gas, I figure I have enough to make it to the gas station tomorrow.

Word.
Procrastination has become routine for me. I have a long list of shit I need to get done and logically I know I’ll feel better when I do (because the list weighs on me) but tomorrow always sounds like a better time to tackle crap.

I just listened to Mel Robbins, "Motivation is garbage"
Basically her trick is to launch herself like a rocket when she wakes up or feels herself procrastinating.

I do that too. I pretend I'm the 1986 Challenger space shuttle and I go up and then BOOM! OH RING! and I come back down and back to procrastinating.

I've thought about this thread away from Mock and I've realized that while I don't consider myself a procrastinator, I am about a couple of things. My closet and a shed where I keep all my cool outdoor "stuff" like decor, planters, things of that nature. Those 2 things need periodic organizing and I do put it off because I know what kind of project it will be and there's been more than a couple of times that I don't even get started in order to quit.
