Wire in the Blood

Besides OP, has anyone heard of this? It's a British TV show that originally aired back in 2002, featuring an eccentric clinical psychologist and an intelligent and sympathetic female police inspector. That sounds cliched, but this is so much more intelligent and 'deep' than anything I've seen on American TV... it's got some graphic bits that would never make it on air, for one thing, but the characters are fully formed and seem so real, they could step right off the screen. I think it also helps that the actors look like 'real' people and can actually move their faces.

Intriguing stories that are well written and interesting, but they might be a bit much for the squeamish, particularly the first episode called The Mermaids Singing. Wow.

Anyway, if anyone's interested and has Netflix, it's on "Watch Instantly". Highly recommended.

I think I've seen every episode of Wire in the blood it's great. It's sort of like a psychological CSI except with actual acting and a proper story.

My accent is often compared to star Robson Green's pseudo posh Geordie accent.

My favourite episode was about a serial sniper who was obsessed with gambling and betting odds and luck, it was broadcast during the Washington Sniper stuff in Washington if I remember rightly.

I'd of said he has a proper Geordie accent:.|
He also did another TV show about extreme fishing that was quite good.

That's like me trying to determine if someone's got an Oklahoma or Texas accent... the states are right next to each other so they sound similar but there's a difference if you hear them often enough.
