It is mild here
Had a dusting of snow over the weekend
I visited some places at higher elevation that still have a nice snow pack

Perfection over the next week.

It's mild here, in the low 50's, but it's overcast and damp so it feels a bit chilly. I can smell woodsmoke outdoors so I know some people have fires going.

No wood smoke here, it's 82 sun filled degrees here today.

Yeah I saw it. Doubt we will get enough snow in Albany to close state offices so it's off to work I walk through the snow and ice tomorrow.

I see that all the time here. It could be -4 degrees and the joggers will still be wearing shorts and a tshirt.

Tis raining and it has been for hours. I'm okay with that. I love a rainy day, I think days like this are cozy.

Next weekend the time changes, kids.

The weather here the past week has been crazy!
We had to have the heat on during the nights
cause the temps dropped down to 49 to low 50's
and then we had to turn on the A/C cause the
temps went up to upper 70's to low 80's after 10am.

Dammit!

Hauling a trailer to Williams, tomorrow, and it looks like a shit-ton of snow is expected.

Change of plans . . . more than likely.

Shit!

It's so weird to think of snow in AZ.

You're not alone.  Most people think of AZ as cactus-laden, scrub brushed, barren, dry river and wash beds, with cragged mountains and circling buzzards.

Williams (30 miles east of Flagstaff) gets a yearly average of 100 inches of snow.  Elevation . . . just shy of 7,000 feet.   Hit 71 inches in January.  As of today, they've surpassed the average annual snowfall rate by 10 inches . . . and it's still snowing (expecting another 9-12 inches).

Flagstaff . . . 10 feet of snow annually . . . minimum.   Last year, 145 inches . . . and that was at 7,000 feet . . . 2,000 feet lower than the base of the ski resort.

I hate pulling a fully loaded trailer when conditions are less than optimal.

I'll go tomorrow, take it easy and hopefully make the normally three-hour drive in less than five.

It's similar to the feeling I would get when HotD would mention being chilly in California. I think all of California is like San Diego.
