Clang work on liking yourself.
Changing things, outside things won't change you, but it could make you feel more confident.

Thanks, Mirah. I do like myself sometimes...like in my avatar picture. It helps to like myself when I'm not a tightly wound ball of anxiety who sweats the small stuff, which is 90% of the time.

Have you ever thought of becoming a Catholic priest?

Tried that. Didn't work out for this socially awkward introvert. Plus imagine the scandal of a crossdressing priest.

There wouldn't be the tiniest iota of scandal in it, given the state of the world. There's an awful lot of Clang's in this world, with loneliness that needs ministering. But you'd have to start with yourself, and here's the big secret, in case you have a change of heart and decide to conquer your demons: the hardest part is getting started, because you don't think it's possible. Once you get going, you slowly start to realize that it IS possible. Which brings us to another big secret: it's a marathon, not a sprint, and you win not by finishing, but by living it, one minute at a time.
