Yeah, lets show them how superior we are by acting just like them.

Who killed Braveheart?

William Wallace was an educated, land owning member of the Scottish upper classes, he even once fought as a mercenary WITH the English AGAINST his fellow scots.

The film is bullshit, just like Mel's other epic The Patriot, the church burning depicted in the film DID take place, in 1943 in the Ukraine committed by the Nazi's.

Some people like the taste of Mel Gibson celluloid koolaid too much.

I don't like my baby to see shit like that. It hurts you in places you didn't know you had. It's always a mindfuck for a good six months when he gets home. He sees too much.

There ARE bad soldiers. There are. Most are good and decent human beings, but there are a few fucked-in-the-head criminal types like Pancho Villa who is smiling over the body. The other soldiers hate them, too, if that is any consolation. They know who is right in the head and who isn't.

I've never asked my boy about killing. That is his business. If he wants to tell me someday, he will, but I don't think he wants me to know. Because he is the designated marksman in an infantry unit, I know he has to squeeze the trigger. That is his job. As long as he squeezes it for the right reasons, and in the proper situations, I can live what he does. He can, too. As I said, war is hell.

You mean your son doesn't cut off and collect body parts from insurgents?

According to dick that makes him an "abomination".

I was pretty specific about the family tree I said was an abomination.

cracker won't fall for your shit OP, why do you insist on making a fool out of yourself?

My posts speak for themselves.

Crackers son doesn't pose like a retard over the corpses of his enemies or hack off their body parts as souvenirs, in my mind that makes him ten times the man you are.

Crackers post actually paints her son in a positive light, he sounds like a good and responsible soldier. I don't agree with her on most things but I now regret mocking her son and I won't do it again.

I respect him now more than I will ever respect a bloodthirsty, sadistic, keyboard warrior fuckwit like you.

And yet you continue with the mis characterizations of my posts.

Oh well I guess you need the affirmation in your life.

I just think it's funny that you are disgusted by a picture of soldiers standing by dead enemy bodies but seem to think that a video of beheadings of American civilians is ok.

it's very telling about your hatred of Americans.

Two more blatant lies.

Please quote the post where I said I think the beheading of American civilians is okay? Shall I save you time? it doesn't exist, it is another figment of your twisted imagination. The video of the beheading of Daniel Pearl is one of the most harrowing things i have seen online.

I also don't hate Americans, I don't even hate you, you are just another wanker on the internet.

Lets make up some lies shall we?

No Daniel Pearl the journalist, the video isn't as long and graphic as the Berg video so I'm told but it was bad enough to give me nightmares for days afterwards.

I don't think I could watch the Berg video.

I only attack morons, the fact that 95% of the members here happen to be American morons is purely circumstantial as anyone with a brain can see.

Humanity has been on the planet since thousands of years and it is only the last few that suddenly anything bad in war becomes attrocious.

Do this very same thing about a hundred years ago and it is not only laughed about but even more so expected. Nowadays let your character that got you there in the first place take over, and you end up getting shit till the doves cry.

"Right, go to war, take down those bad people, but remember .... behave!"

Yeah, that. War = killing people, so what's the big offense here? Is it the posing with their kill? Hunters do that all the time - holding up the lifeless head of some murdered, defenseless animal. Who's squawking about that, besides animal rights folks?

Militaries train people to be killing machines, then when their handiwork gets caught on camera everyone's all upset.

Don't forget, it's not like some honourable one on one fight but a constant critical moment going on for days, if not weeks and months. Of course, if you got a guy who constantly behaves like that, he's most probably dangerous and got a mental issue, so you are left with promoting him either to Senator or put him in a nut cage.

For crying out loud, they are warriors and just a few years back they where expected to cut of the enemies head before eating his brain and use his skull as a pissoir. Now? Good Lord, touch a dead fellow that wanted to shoot you in the first place in a hummourous way and my, my, are you gonna be in trouble!

I have several family members who have been in the military and they didn't pose for photos smiling down on corpses, in fact I dare say they find the notion abhorrent.
They always said even the remains of the enemy were treated with due respect.

You see, this is the ironic part, and it applies not just to you but many military family members and supporters - it's totally okay that the west engages in foreign intervention (and in the case of the British it's been going on for centuries) and kills massive numbers of people who are no threat to the west, but goddamn don't pose for pictures. Do you see how crazy that is?

You can bet that such things would happen in an occupied US.

No, I am talking about not being as brutal as your enemy, saying to yourself "we don't do that because we are better than you", if you use the same tactics as the enemy/terrorists you are no better than they are, you descended to their level.

Soldiers who act with responsibility and discipline are 1000 times more mentally strong and tough than soldiers who lose the plot and start acting like animals. The real tough guys don't pose for photos and hack off the body parts of enemies, they just get on accomplishing the task at hand and looking after the man at each side of them.

You seem to be suggesting that wanton brutality is the norm, I'm saying that it isn't, and the small number of cases as posted in the original post back me up on this.

War is a bit brutal in nature, and some people are normally more brutal than others.

I think you could make a case for most US soldiers to not act that way, but the people we are fighting, it's not in their nature to not mutilate and degrade their enemies.

you know like hanging the bodies from bridges and city gates or dragging them around the city behind trucks.
