Revenge
#1
F2's breakup story and Tiki's suggestions sparked this topic

Have you ever gotten revenge against someone you feel wronged you?

When my ex was out if work and collecting unemployment I reported him for taking 6 vacations. If he hadn't filed to have the child support reduced because he was unemployed I wouldn't have. But if that fucker could take 6 vacations in as many months he can afford to pay support. As it was he wasn't paying for the kids insurance and I let that go. He had to go to hearing and lost his benefits for 4 weeks and then got only half for 4 more weeks.

Other than that, I usually let karma take its course. I'm not a vengeful person.

Revenge, hate, vindictiveness, it's all the same to me and it all requires a tremendous emotional investment, one that I'm not prepared to make unless I love you. No one I have ever loved has hurt me in such a way that I've considered revenge.

This should be taught in every high school across America.
There would be less shootings and more tolerance/forgiveness.

They teach it. Doesn't have much of an effect. Those kinds of lessons are what Southerners call "home training." They aren't school lessons, they are part of the general care and nurturing of small children. If your mom has an AK and a bad attitude, schools can't do much to fix that.

Society is a result, not a solution. Parents are the solution.

I wasn't helping in the kitchen. There was plenty of food but this bitch decided she was Lord of the Food and Kitchen, deciding who got extra food and who didn't. Pretty much everyone but me and my brother. This is the same bitch who wanted to throw a bunch of sausage left over from a K of C breakfast into the compost instead of giving it to me and my brother to take home.

Even the homeless don't want to get e coli by eating warmed over green bean casserole or day old cornbread.

Goodness sakes, they're homeless but not totally retarded.
