Nope! I'm up too. They are some party poopers! hah HNY mockers.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Cracker - 01-01-2012

I think I am going to join them. I'm not getting up early for church, mind you, just trying to catch the grocery store before the Jesus crowd gets there. I prefer to shop with other heathens.

Happy New Year, JsMom. Hope this one is good for you. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Same to you. Have a prosperous new year. Now take your ass to bed. 113

You must have missed the end of the world last year...twice!
I'm sure it will be this year...I'm optimistic like that.

That's even funnier because I've used "Mimi" as a screen name before. hah

Obama's Golfing Ruins Christmas for Marines and their Families
By Ed Morrissey, HotAir.com

We’re back for another year of OOTDs, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to skip the candidates from the holidays. Tina Korbe caught the implications of Barack Obama’s 89th and 90th rounds of golf on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day (the 26th) — because when the President takes a day off on the links, it means other people have to work. Over to Melissa Clouthier:

Well, the big deal is that a bunch of Marines had to work–blocking roads and doing other miscellaneous security detail–instead of being home with their families.

Here are some of the comments from the wives of these men. (I am not going to include the link to this page, nor am I going to include names, because I don’t want anyone in trouble. I do, however, have the screen shot and have copy and pasted the comments verbatim.) …

“Because he’s here, I didn’t get to see my husband all weekend, on our baby girl’s first Christmas, so he can have his vacation. So when I can’t get to my house because he wants to play golf it just adds insult to injury and yeah, gets on my nerves. I agree that it’s a sensitive subject for some of us who are more [a]ffected by his being here.” …

I was so angry! They blocked off my driveway… -_-”

“It takes him forever to play too because he isn’t good at it either lol!”

Hahahahaha!

I did get a pic of our president texted to me. Not everyday the POTUS is standing in your driveway. Smiley_emoticons_smile He wasn't having a good golf day.

this made me laugh! the vision of throwing frozen salmon especially...could get expensive!

NEDERLAND, Colo.—Nederland's Frozen Dead Guy Days hah celebration is continuing under a new owner.
Amanda MacDonald tells the Boulder Daily Camera she bought the rights because she wants it to stay in Nederland.

Bredo Morstoel's corpse has been packed in dry ice in a shed at the mountain town since 1993. He died in 1989 at age 89 and his Norwegian family preserved his body in hopes technology will be developed to bring him back to life. 96

The 10-year-old festival attracted 15,000 people in March. It features a parade of hearses, frozen salmon tossing and coffin races.

Soooo... the wives that have their husbands back alive and whole from Iraq and Afghanistan (since they're apparently capable of performing guard duty on a base in a tropical paradise) are complaining bitterly that their husbands, that were probably offered the chance to volunteer for the duty, had to work an 8 hour shift on Christmas. 18 holes only last about 5 - 6 hours so it might have been even shorter than that. They would have still been home for the holidays.

Living on a base means some inconveniences. When the Thunderbirds were practicing the day before a show, none of us were allowed to drive to base housing for several hours. It's one of the cons of being in or affiliated with the military.

Once again. Boo fucking hoo.

I have Marines in my family, other branches of the military as well and I cannot imagine them ever saying something like that.

I imagine their reaction will be similar to mine when I pass this on to them.

Jesus Christ. 78

I can see no good reason why any of our military or their wives should have any freedom of speech whatsoever.

can you imagine these fucks thinking that they should be able to bitch about our president, how the fuck did they expect him to play golf in washington it's cold as fuck there.

Oh please...I have no doubt had those comments been made about a Prez that was respected and thought to be doing a good job you would have been all over them, you're a fuckin' hypocrite.
