My son tied for 2nd place out of 900 kids at the Pepsi bowling tournament. He has to have a roll off with the other kid and if he wins he'll go to the Indianapolis nationals to represent Fl. If not then there is always next year, that's if he sticks with it. Hopefully he becomes a professional bowler and makes me rich

it's Friday night here at 10.09EST I finished another assignment yesterday and submitted it. I actually had a nightmare about it during the week so I have to get rid of it as soon as possible.
So I have given myself today off. It's been a nice day too, I am one of those people who loves Fridays. I have been in and out here all day. You could never get lonely in here, there is always someone that around that you can argue with. ha.

He does everything from football to skateboarding. I'm glad he's not into surfing so much anymore, that made me a nervous wreck.

That's quite the achievment! You must be proud! My oldest placed first in the 400 meter out of 18 schools at his invitational. He might be on his way to states. He's pretty stoked, especially since they announced his name over the loudspeaker and he accepeted the school medals.

Washington (CNN) -- The National Park Service said Saturday that the National Christmas Tree located just south of the White House has died due to complications from "transplant shock."
The Park Service removed the Colorado blue spruce from the White House grounds early Saturday. The tree had replaced another which was damaged in a wind storm early last year.
The Park Service said it always has a replacement tree lined up to make sure one is in place for the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting event held each December. The new tree is also a Colorado spruce but won't be planted until late October.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – George Lindsey, who spent nearly 30 years as the grinning Goober on "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Hee Haw," has died. He was 83.
A press release from Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home in Nashville said Lindsay died early Sunday morning after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements were still being made.
Lindsey was the beanie-wearing Goober on "The Andy Griffith Show" from 1964 to 1968 and its successor, "Mayberry RFD," from 1968 to 1971. He played the same jovial character -- a service station attendant -- on "Hee Haw" from 1971 until it went out of production in 1993.
"America has grown up with me," Lindsey said in an Associated Press interview in 1985. "Goober is every man; everyone finds something to like about ol' Goober."

ST. PETERSBURG FLA.— The mother was pacing back and forth above the storm drain, calling for help.
Her babies were stuck below.
There they were, piled atop one another in a storm drain behind the Old Navy at Tyrone Square Mall: nine brown ducklings, calling to their mother.
Firefighters got the call about 9:52 a.m. They arrived four minutes later to find the mother duck perched above the drain and McNeally guarding the spot from about 15 feet away.
It took three men to lift up the grates that held the ducklings in.
Once the grates were off, firefighter Ted Johnson jumped down into the drain. The ducklings scattered.
Corralling them with his legs, he scooped them out, one by one.
Handling ducklings is harder than it looks, the firefighters said. The key is to hang on to them without squashing them.
The little duck jumped out of the firefighter's hands and sprang through the parking lot. Kras had to chase it under three or four cars before catching it.
"It was really funny," McNeally said. "Big ol' firefighter chasing around this little thing."
