If ya look at the picture, you'll note that we had approx 100' of slope in the back yard that had nothing but mulch/bark (before we put in the boxes). The previous owners had only put vegetation (bushes, strawberries, and other things) on a little less than half of it...the rest was pretty ugly. So we had this unused space...seemed to be perfect for a small garden. You really cant plant stuff like that on a slope, so we needed to level it out, plus we needed amended soil, our ground soil is crap, mostly clay/rocks. It turned out pretty nice, plus it made the back yard look 10 times better in our opinion.

Thanks man, I think I'm OK...I just need to re-arrange my existing drip line, and add several more sprayers. The drip line wasnt very effective, as it's hooked up to my existing sprinkler system..the problem is, is that there is more stuff on that station than just the garden boxes, and if I leave the timing for that station on long enough for the drip line to be effective, it adds way to much water to areas of my yard.

This is my trade Bud and you would be surprised how many things are on the market now pertaining to Low Volume systems.
They have nozzles and small misters and sprays you can put into the drip lines.The nozzles can be mixed and can come preset for any pattern and distance and some spray nozzles are fully adjustable and you simply adjust it for any radius. Wont go into too much here but could probly get you some info/catalogs sent from my Vendor to you that would give you plenty of idea's and options or I could give you the link to their site. Rainbird has a hellua lot of products.Hunter too but Rainbird is who I prefer for a lot of different reasons. LMK...

Sure man, pm me the link to a site you like, I'm always up for improving. Pretty much all I did last year was head down to Lowes and went through their gardening dept picking out shit that I thought would do the job. I was pretty impressed with how the low volume sprinkler heads worked...but the drip line, it really sucked. Never really got water to the actual plants very well, and pretty much just created little puddles in the garden boxes.

Ya see..and thats pretty much the only reason, in my mind...that would make it worthwhile to grow your own smoke..would be to sell it, and make enough cash to pay for your investment, and make a profit. Otherwise...there are a lot..and I mean a lot of folks that have perfected the process. So unless you're smoking an ounce a week or something like that...why not just purchase from someone who already has their shit together?
