The 2013 Trivial, Boring Drivel Thread....

That sort of thing is much more likely with government managed healthcare unfortunately. They aren't going to pay for the procedures and medicines.

I talked to the doctor and she has to give her options since one of the tumors are so close to her heart that they can't target it with radiation or chemo, all they can do is hope that chemo shrinks it and slows down the process, but she is ultimately going to die from it. It's up to her if she wants to prolong the process and lower her quality of life which already isn't that great or just fuck it. She decided to continue the treatments. They wont know how well it's working until she has the treatments and they look at her lungs with a scope.

I spilled a full cup of hot tea on my left wrist. Turns out I can't carry tea, Mike's latte, my purse, Mike's laundry and an umbrella. I burned the shit out of my arm. And it has to be my left an cuz I'm a lefty. I've had ice and cold packs on it for hours and it still hurts like a mofo. Can I have just one week without drama???

Really hoping the treatments go well, sally.

Thanks, everyone.

I think I'd want to do it too if it were me, we all love her and the baby keeps her plenty of company during the day. She keeps breaking out in these crying spells telling me that she doesn't want to die. I told here we're all gonna drop dead soon so don't feel bad, but I don't think I'm all that comforting.

My Dad had the same decision to make, and he chose to not continue treatment.

I was a little pissed at him for not fighting, but it wasn't my call.

God bless your Mom for going down swinging.

She's certainly raging “against the dying of the light”!

Good for her.

FIGHT!

I could have saved him a trip . . . the investors are purchasing the inventory and the prices are rising to 2006 bubble rates.

Thanks for helping the middle class, bro!

Seriously?

It's only been around for the past . . . hmmm . . . 13 years.

Might as well start preparing yourself for the shock of the Vagina Monologues, too.

I can hardly bear to be in the company of some of those tightassed bitches. They bring out the worst in me & I avoid them at all costs, I'll even fib to get out of being anywhere near them because I always want to do or say something that makes them do this ------> Smiley_emoticons_shocked

Many years ago, I was asked to contribute a recipe for one of their "legendary" cookbooks.

I deliberately submitted a recipe calling for the inclusion of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup.

I was twice blessed:

1.) Recipe not published. Surprise!

2.) Have never been invited back to play with them.

I live in upstate NY. We were happy when we got a Taco Bell. I have heard of The Vagina Monologues. It sounds just as stupid as the menopause show. I don't have to go see it. I can just look in the mirror.

Please tell me that the whole The Vagina Monologues and "I can just look in the mirror" isn't what upstate New Yorkers consider community theater.
