He completely gave himself away by saying "white person's slot". Not only is he assuming black inferiority, he's also assuming white superiority, which is blatantly racist. Not a good look for someone that presents himself as supporting meritocracy.

Yep. Here again, I think there’s an argument to be made for meritocracy (Asian people are likely to win, as a wild generalization, lol), but yes…you can’t argue meritocracy and simultaneously claim that white people are victims.

There are so many things that factor into that. Race aside, I think income inequality is more relevant.

I like the idea of meritocracy but there are serious problems that arise when resources are allocated on the presumption of merit, e.g., executive compensation.

In our society a CEO goes into a corporation to extract wealth for the investor class by ruthlessly cutting costs, to the point that long-term profitability is destroyed. It's cannibalism, but it's considered to be meritorious by the people who own the politicians. The antithesis of social responsibility, but the masses are conditioned to see it as acceptable behavior.
