The Ashes Series
#21
0-2. Close but not good enough. Bairstow was given out when he wasnt, stumped by the keeper when the ball was dead, if Bairstow wasnt given out, we would have won.

The Aussies think nowt of cheating, the crowd booed the Australians for the rest of the day, and two members in the long room were banned for mouthing off at the aussies, the players have to go through the long room to get to the dressing rooms.

It isnt crash, i expect you are celebrating. Is there any one out there who likes the brits? Answer NO. There was a programme done about how everyone, globally, hates the brits, the INFJ of this world.

I don't hate Brits. Just certain ones like you. Monty Python and Doctor Who are quite enjoyable.

Hahaha… Butterfingers Bairstow tried to do the same thing on Day 2, but missed. Mitchell Starc was declined a catch, because of a technicality in the rules, the rules the English wrote. The same rules that causes Bairstow to be out because he went wandering before ‘Over’ was called. The ball indeed was not dead until it took the bails off those stumps. The behaviour of the English in the long room was disgusting.

Oh, you seem to know something about cricket, or a mate does. When Bairstow was stumped the umpire at the bowlers end was unfurling the bowlers jumper, as far he was concerned the ball was dead.

Theres more to it than that though. In the old days Colin Cowdrey would let a well hit ball go for four because it was a good stroke, and would applaud it. In cricket gamesman ship is unknown, in Britain anyway. The Australian captain should have called Bairstow back because it was not cricket, yes there is a saying in England that describes sharp practice or cheating.

Its still used today, for instance a soccer player rolling around because he had been fouled, when he hadnt, that old geezers like me would say " thats not cricvket".

Its not in the spirit of the game, winning at all costs is passe, working class, wrong, playing the game properly, even when losing, is more important. Cheaters dont get that, winning by cheating is useless.

As for the members in the long room heckling the aussies, that was wrong too. There would be a comment at the highest level in the old days. The english cricket president would have said to the aussie one, " i say old bean, that was a bit off".

The aussie would have said, " gotcha mate, ill have a word".

So you still didn’t address Bairstow applying the same tactic days earlier. Or Stuart Broad, best remembered by many world cricket fans for refusing to walk after obviously nicking a shot through to the keeper back in 2013, was quick to inform Carey that his dismissal of Bairstow would be the defining one of his career. He conveniently forgot he was at the centre of a similar appeal against New Zealand's Colin de Grandhomme last year.

Or Brendan McCullum, who labelled Bairstow's dismissal the 'worst thing' he'd seen in cricket and said he'd hesitate to have a beer with the Australian side as a result, also has form of his own. On no less than three occasions - against Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan in 2006, Zimbabwe's Chris Mpofu in 2005 and England's Paul Collingwood in 2009 - McCullum threw down the stumps of a batsman otherwise not aware that the ball had not been declared dead by the on-field umpire.

Or that one time in a one-day match against Ireland in 2019, England's keeper Ben Foakes secured a stumping against Ireland's Andy Balbirnie, holding on to the ball for a remarkably long time, waiting for the batsman to lift the foot he had grounded behind the crease for several seconds. The move was hailed as 'quick thinking' in a highlight still available on the ECB website.

Save your high moral ground ‘It’s just not cricket’ bullshit for someone, or a mate of someone, who doesn’t follow the game

If you follow cricket you would know Bairstow was standing up to the stumps, stumping from there is legitimate. Carey was way back, and when the ball was dead threw the stumps down big difference.

As for cheating you are right, english players cheat too. When i played cricket at school, circa 1969 70 odd, and i nicked a ball, would i have walked...of course. Football, or soccer to you, has been infected by the european cheats, faking fouls, injury, time wasting etc, about the same time football was played chivalrously, and fairly, players would admit to misdemeaners.

Now its win at all costs. And it is a fake win because you have cheated.

And heres the kicker, the aussies are as bad, In 2019 Smith the Australian CAPTAIN took sandpaper onto the pitch to doctor the ball, so it swung. All hell broke loose over that.

The Aussies might as well be french, thats a big insult. If you have to cheat to win, theres no point. My generation have gone the Colin Cowdreys of this world went a long time ago, its a different world, for the worse. That aside do you follow cricket?, and you are american, on one of the cricket programmes its booming over there, especially in chicago.

Judging you by your appearence of course you are American, and on some bad dope. You are a prime example of how to defend an indefensible stance, like sport, winning is all. All it took was a comment about " yup, aussies are bad too". Cant do it.

To multiply it up to you being a member of my family, i would not give you the time of day, and have no contact, as any issue or conversation would result in you exibiting your madness.

If i was a president and you were, id know there is no point, resulting in bad shit. This is the world, something bad is going to happen. Oh, it has.

Everyone is gone mad.

They say that in America anyone can become president, yes, that includes you. If it were to happen you would be an improvement on the loons youve had, youd have to get your teeth fixed first, improve your make up and buy a certificate of education as you dont own any.

America is ungovernable.

Those in charge have given up, and have resorted to shrugging, and ignoring everything.

You are now going to tell me all the education you have recieved, would anyone with an education look like that?

Your in a trailer park drinking methylated spirit, smoking cocaine and wanking.

1-2, take that cobbers, England won by three wickets, that means we topped the Aussie total with three men to bat. Two to go, game on.

England all but won the fourth test, just a matter of time, fifth day washed out. The rules should be changed to incorporate a sixth day, Ahes lost.
