It never ends. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to build this house. It's a brand new house and it already has problems. Plus it's a bitch to keep clean.

I can’t speak for Sally but if we had moved to a much bigger house 20 years ago I would have been alllll over it. But now?

I like our pool and stuff but I have 5 empty vegetable beds PLUS a freaking empty greenhouse. I don’t feel like being a gardener anymore. And vacuuming my house takes like an hour or so. It’s stupid. I’m at a point in my life where I want simple (and to travel and stuff). Instead I got more shit to deal with.

Our outdoor kitchen that we recently replaced is fucked up (water is getting into the new cabinetry). I really don’t need an outdoor kitchen. I resent the fact that it’s messed up and I have to deal with the stupid thing.

Very first world problems but it’s definitely a PITA when you go along with a significant other who wants to upgrade kinda later than you might have wanted.

That was my mistake. I went along but didn’t realize what I was getting myself into.

Our outdoor kitchen isn't done yet. The only plus I can see is that I can cook out there and not have to dirty up the indoor kitchen. You still have to clean it though so actually it's really not a plus. it's just two fucking kitchens I have to clean now.

I just backed into the stupid reclaimed water pipe and the water is shooting out like a fire hydrant. Well I'm gonna wait for a moment and then act like I'm going outside to turn the sprinklers on and tell my husband "wtf, the water is bursting out of the pipe out there, why is it doing that?". Hopefully none of the neighbors saw me back into it.

I marked our property tax bills for our two houses as “paid” on 3/26/25. The day my mom passed away. I got a delinquency notice today. I didn’t pay the fucking property taxes that day. I was out of my mind apparently.

Now the counties get around $3k in late fees because I apparently lost my marbles for a bit.

Fuckers. I have ZERO recollection about paying bills that day so I don’t doubt I screwed up.

I’m bothered that people who are wealthier duck and dodge paying their share.

Anyway, it wasn't the reclaimed water I hit, it was the city backflow protector and now none of the water works in the house. I had to call the city emergency number and they're out trying to fix it. They said that someone definitely hit it, but I'm still playing dumb. What the fuck kind of piece of shit is that thing anyway, I barely tapped it.
