Indeed! Steel cup protection! Boo yah!

Although truth be told, even with protection getting whacked in the nuts still hurts. Nowhere near as bad as without though...

You could check.

Or, you could just get a vasectomy.

Don't have to.

Vote for HotD!!!

I think boys/men need JUST as much education/access to b/c etc. as women. Ultimately, I want my daughter to be responsible for her own b/c (my son too!!) because quite honestly, in the heat of passion, I don't trust either sex to be thinking completely responsibly.

My son needs to understand what an "unplanned" (and quite possibly "undesired") fatherhood would look like for him too.

Don't have to.

Nobody has to.

If a man wants to get a vasectomy, it's his choice. If a woman wants to get her tubes tied, it's her choice. It is one of many birth control options.

Planned Parenthood counsels their clients who choose to consider sterilization and helps ensure that they have access to qualified specialists, gynecologists, urologists...

The cost for a vasectomy is about $1,000 on average. A tubal ligation, on the other hand, is about $6,000 on average. PP also helps their interested clients explore insurance coverage and financial options associated with such elective sterilization.

Your opinion is that women have an abortion on a whim?

No, but women have been known to change their mind just because.

I don't personally know any women who change their minds/positions on matters of importance to themselves or to society as many times as you did in the course of under two days in this thread. And, you changed your mind/position without explanation or acknowledgment that you'd even done so; like on a whim or something. All whilst proclaiming yourself the voice for embryos and fetuses in the bodies of women everywhere.

I think men who feel strongly about what women should legally be able to do with their bodies should (a) not get a woman pregnant without advance mutual agreement and family preparedness, and (b) ensure that their male and female children get solid sex education early and understand how to access birth control before they become sexually active. Those are situations where it's actually your business, and how you can do your part to help reduce the number of abortions.

I know I know I went from 10 weeks to 20 weeks back to 12 then to 18 weeks I was all over the place eh?

You started at 4 weeks.

Yeah, you flailed a lot and clearly either weren't educated or hadn't seriously considered the matter before you started drawing lines for women.

That's okay, we learn as we go (if we're paying attention).

Most men don't, including my husband. Why have a vasectomy even though it's a simple reversible out patient procedure when I can take birth control pills that come with a booklet of side effects including sudden death. Or have tubal ligation surgery that takes weeks to heal, or have an IUD inserted in me which causes cramps and heavy bleeding.

because in reality, us men are giant crybaby pussies who don't want anybody slicing our junk. Women on the other hand are the stronger, fairer sex evolutionarily adapted to handle great pain and suffering through periods and childbirth.

Don't worry, men have to have their prostate checked regularly later in life, so it all evens out.

I wouldn't rely on that, next thing you know a little bundle of joy will be on the way. I don't know if I'm extra fertile or my husband has excellent swimmers, but every time I got pregnant I was on some type of birth control. Sterilization didn't even work for me.

Fetal Abnormality and Politics

Ohio lawmakers are considering a controversial bill that would ban abortions sought because the baby has Down syndrome, placing the swing state at the center of a new battle for anti-abortion advocates.

The measure also has implications for the 2016 presidential race, as Ohio Gov. John Kasich seeks the Republican nomination and tries to walk a fine line between burnishing his pro-life credentials and positioning himself as a moderate member of the GOP field. He has not taken a position on the legislation.

"The governor is pro-life and believes strongly in the sanctity of human life, but we don't take a public position on every bill introduced into the Ohio General Assembly," Rob Nichols, a Kasich spokesman, told FoxNews.com. (HOTD: let's hear it Kasich, it makes a big difference to some of us who consider you a viable candidate -- so far.)

The Ohio bill would ban a physician from performing an abortion if they know the woman is seeking the procedure solely because of a test indicating Down syndrome in the fetus.

If the bill passes, what this means is that if a woman has a test for Down's Syndrome at say week 15 (that's the earliest the test that has the least chance of causing a miscarriage can be done) and it comes back positive, she needs to go to a non-associated doctor and lie if the abnormality results in her deciding to abort the pregnancy at any point thereafter - regardless of the fact that a healthy fetus can be aborted up to 24 weeks in the state.

I don't think people with Down's Syndrome or any other genetic abnormalities are second class citizens. But, I do think the woman has the right to decide on abortion if she doesn't believe she has the capacity to raise a special-needs child, or doesn't believe the child's quality of life would be good, or for other reasons. If there are no exceptions for fetal abnormality past viability, okay. But, to ban fetal abnormality abortions before the point of viability that applies to all other pregnancies in the state is illogical and for political gain only. IMO.

I hope Kasich doesn't support the bill, and I hope it fails.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and state your gay ex was having his prostate checked, on a regular basis, long before he reached PSA testing age.

And he kept going back for more.
