His base is about 36-38% of Americans. I'd say people just like you & me but I'm nothing like them. His base are the majority of the people throughout the United States who attended his rallies. Some of his base are those who run around screaming FAKE NEWS and SNOWFLAKE, my personal favorite given trump is one of the most thin skinned people I've ever seen. I find it so bizarre that you've never heard of his base.

Here ye! Here ye! Thank you, Mr. President. At the urging of President Donald Trump, U.S. officials have reversed course and decided to allow into the United States a group of Afghan girls hoping to participate in an international robotics competition next week. Story

I thought I should publicly thank him when it was well deserved given I've been so critical of his presidency.

I also don't believe he actually has a "base" in the traditional sense of the word. I believe that the majority of those 36-38% of Americans you speak of align with one or more of his agenda items but more importantly do not align with the political corruption that has become the status quo in American politics over the last 5-6 decades. Of course there will always be the crazies that believe Trump can do no wrong, but I'm pretty sure Obama, Clinton, Bush Carter, Reagan, etc... all had those too. I do however believe there is a HUGE "Anti-Trump" base. People like to label things so they can compartmentalize and make quick and easy decisions, which usually are not accurate or efficient at all. The biggest difference I've seen from this election/presidency that stands head and shoulders from any other in my lifetime is the divide. I didn't want Obama, but I understand why he got elected (Palin/Romney) and after he got elected both times I adopted (like most other Americans who didn't want Obama) a wait and see what he can do for our country column of thought. While he did some good and some bad things (like every president before him), There wasn't a HUGE divide of people in America that left the "Anti-Obama" regime to destroy property abroad, and over-analyze every single move he made. For fuck sakes, if Trump farts people in Antarctica will chime in on how bad it stinks. I didn't vote for Trump, I think his wall idea is a dead end and I think he's a pompous ass of a man, but he's who we elected so again, I'm going to wait and see. He (like Obama and every other president before him) has done some good and bad things in his short time in office. But considering he isn't a career politician one would have to expect a few bumps along the road. I haven't heard of Trump firing squads yet, or any of the horrible things everyone promised would happen if "Trump the dictator" got elected, so at least there is that.(07-12-2017, 04:59 PM)Blindgreed1 Wrote: Who is "his base?" That's because you're not all that bright. The destruction Trump is and will continue to cause have only begun to bear fruit. Our country is in far more danger than any of us dared to guess. Consider this: if what you say is true and we've been engaged in worldwide corruption and bullying for the last five decades, exactly what do you suppose is going to happen once we have been sufficiently weakened? Do you think this fight was EVER about the ability so say "told ya so"? If you do, you're a fool. And you'll deserve your fate when it comes.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Besides... Aren't you supposed to be a Canadian by now? Canada won't let you in will they? It's actually pretty difficult to become a Canadian.

POTUS Donald's antics are getting worse these days, and he is battling with everyone, rather then focusing on running the country. Sad.
