I remember when everyone said that we don't need any more politicians, we need a business man that does not care about what people think. Reality is a bitch and most people today do not have the guts to do what needs to be done. But...........they sure like their "free" stuff.

I actually did a report on Trump when I was in college. I wrote about how even though he was despised-and he was despised before he became President-he was succesful. I mean I didn't know the extent of his finances back then-but he had built himself an empire and it didn't matter what people thought of him. I admired him for that and I watched the Apprentice because I wanted to see what kinds of things he did and said.

When the whole President thing came up-I had started to dislike him because of his treatment of Obama-he wouldn't let it go. Sound familiar? It is the same thing you are saying people won't do now.
I also started to dislike him more and more just hearing the words he would use to describe people-especially women. He acts so childish and stupid and follows after the dumbest arguements-like SNL? Seriously?
I can acknowledge that some parts of the economy have improved-some businesses have improved, maybe more people are working-but I am also going to acknowledge that he also lies about almost everything-and it is dumb.
I also don't like how people on his side who support him-like those you see at the rally's or posting online (Though some of those may be robots) act like he can do no wrong. That is dangerous. I mean even people who supported Obama could say "Yeah we liked him-but his health care policy sucked"
I also worry about improving businesses and economy at the cost of the environment-I mean what is it to create more jobs if the earth is being destroyed? I don't understand that. We need to find a balance-a way to create jobs but not destroy the earth.
I also don't like how he tells me who to like and who to trust-it seems whenever he vouches for someeone-they seem shady in some way or another.
Putting someone in Secretary of Education that has no experience with public schools is maddening. I have seen a failure in this system lately and it needs drastic improvements. She is not the one to do it. 
I like that he has reached out to leaders-leaders who have otherwise been ignored by past leaders-but I don't like that it seems he has also done this at the loss of some of our allies-where do his loyalties lie? They seem to lie where he or his family or his "past" businesses can benefit.
I don't like some of the ways he has disrespected the military. Though it seems most of the military are happy with him? So I will leave it to them to decide if they honor their leader or not. I hope they can and do. Coming from a military family myself I know the importance of this. Some of his policies seem to be lacking in helping veterans. I have family who served and some agree with Trump and some don't.
How does a President deal with the rising # of veteran suicides? School shootings? Sucky health care system? Education? Environment? Economy, Defense inside and outside the country?

His words about the size of his crowds shouldn't erk me so much, but they do. His words that he uses to describe women shouldn't erk me so much but they do. When he insults people it erks me. I don't mind someone being a "straight-shooter" with their words and being "non-political" but don't stoop down to a level such as that. But alas, I know he won't change.
This country sure is though. Or is the same as it always has been?

His lies bother everyone with standards. I read a ton of opinions everyday from a variety of people across the country and one thing I've learned is that most people who spent years complaining about President Obama weren't really put off by his policy decisions, they just wanted to complain about the black guy in the White House, it was really nothing more than that, had it been an honest critique of the man and his policies they would have even bigger issues with trump given the tremendous number of lies, the grift, the nepotism, the abuse of power, etc., but they don't have a problem with any of that, to the contrary, they defend & support it.
