It brought in a cold back, ass, legs also. No more shorts. I'm wearing a sweatshirt and jeans today.

From where I sat the storm didn't look too bad here, but apparently it was. Some towns are completely flooded, the national guard are rescuing people in boats and there are buildings down the street from me that got completely demolished. What the hell were they made out of, straw? Me and my next door neighbor are the only ones on my street with power.

I was just listening to a woman talk about what it is like in Kissimmee and she said residents are swimming out of their living rooms in order to get to the men in boats outside.

I'm looking at the aftermath and there is a picture of a freaking huge alligator swimming in someone's house. Jesus, I just sat out on my porch the whole time watching it, meanwhile across the bridge the entire county flooded and got torn up by tornadoes.

It's horrible and I've seen many Floridians say this is the worst storm to ever hit Florida and that's saying something given the devastation some have left behind.

There is such an influx of people moving here that they are building one apartment complex after the next and tearing out every bit of woods we have. The wildlife is running out of places to go, it's fucked up. Plus the traffic is becoming ridiculous too.

They're in people's yards and pools daily here, no hurricane needed.

I remember one being at my parents front door. It was over 5 foot so they had to call a gator wrangler. Apparently if it's under 5 ft the town has someone who will come and get it, if it's over 5 foot you're on your own.  hah

I watched them feed them at Busch Gardens. They lay around with turtles on their backs most of the day doing absolutely nothing until feeding time. Then they open their mouths, take their food from a long pole the handler is carrying and then go back to sleep. They're pretty boring and mostly harmless unless they're hungry, then they'll try to eat you.

I saw them at Gatorland a couple of times. That's where I saw the albino one they kept in an enclosure that wasn't even big enough to turn around. I was so goddamn mad about that. Apparently I still am. Grrrr.

He's an angel. That poor thing must have been traumatized by the weather. I only say that because of the unusual behavior.

Totally.
I was glad the critter was able to get help and honestly I thought about all the other animals during a storm like this AND I CAN'T THINK ABOUT IT AAAAHHHHHHH
