Holy shit! Cell phones started screeching saying a tornado in our area and will be around till 10:45.
We just got out of our walk-in closet, and saw on TV that we “had a tornado” just 4 miles away!
Cars strewn all over mangled, buildings ripped in half, trees ripped out of the ground, debris all over,
Just unbelievable! So close, and still so far, We where so lucky, thank ya Jesus!

As of 4:46 AM, the hurricane hunters have found that Ian has strengthened to a category 4 hurricane--life threatening storm surge, catastrophic winds and flooding.

I just read someone say that Key West is underwater and it could be 10 foot underwater by the time the sun rises this morning. She went on to say "this is not at all what we expected". Are you kiddin' me. C'mon!

My brother and his wife are ok. They rode out the hurricane in their hotel room wearing miner head lamps and playing D&D.

Seems like It’s never ending, we woke up to screeching signal indicating
Tornado warning again. Still watching Ian unfold on TV next to closet.
Today is going to be a extra long nervous day! Another mini tornado
occurred during the night within a few miles! Hope our luck continues to
hold out. They said We were supposed be in the spared area of Ian,
somebody forgot to tell Ian.

Sally, do you have a Waffle House in your town? If so, and it's been closed, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

I just saw video of Tampa Bay being sucked out to sea. I've never seen anything like that and didn't know it was possible. It looks like the Bay is being drained. Holy moly.

The waffle house is on the other side of town so I'm not sure, but everything around here is open until 6 and then there is an 8:00 curfew. I just got a hurricane warning alert for my area on my phone though. What the fuck are they alerting me for, I thought we were only getting a tropical storm.

The surge is already covering cars in Naples. Why would people leave their cars there? Good grief.

I didn't bother bringing my patio furniture in, but I think I better do it now. It's really starting to gust up over here. Holy Moses, my table umbrella is going to go flying like a dagger.

Why do the reporters have to stand out there like they do? I believe it's as bad as they say, they don't need to demonstrate for me. I'm pretty sure Jim Cantore was nearly taken out by some debris earlier.

I never here anything from Jim Cantore until a hurricane comes. I guess that's how he makes his living.

...and snow, BIG snow. I once saw him jump up & down like a little kid in excitement when he heard snow thunder.

I'm gonna lose power here soon and then probably no service so that's where the fuck Sally will be if you're wondering. It's not even close yet and my lights are flickering.

Has Tampa washed out to sea?
